Big, Brooding, Dark and Brawny Red. Aromas of black cherry, smoke and menthol. Very “minerally” on the palate, along with organic flavors of earth, black pepper and mushrooms. Faint Dark cherry and plum fruit flavors can be detected on the long finish. This one stays with you a while. Soft tannins and very dry. Extremely Old World in nature. Needs time and air to open up. Very good #grunerveltliner from #austrianwine pale lemon color with pronounced aromas of white flowers like honeysuckle and jasmine. Citrus fruits like lemon peel and grapefruit. Herbal aromas like spicy rocket (arugula) and secondary aromas of cream. Medium body and pronounced intensity flavors. The finish is long and the wine is very good because of the complexity and intensity of the aromas and flavors, the length of the finish and the overall balance with a very smooth texture. — 8 years ago
