Ruby color, slight purple edges, with aromas of red fruits, forest floor, floral and smoky spice, aged in 50% new French oak. On the palate flavors of cherry and raspberry with cedar notes, tea, cola, black pepper, cinnamon spice and earthy herbs, very complex. Full-bodied, fine tannins, long finish ending with fruit, oak and a spicy earthy character. Needs more bottle time, will age well! Pair this with a grilled salmon or maple glazed pork chop! — 7 months ago
Baked peach and apple, flint, and smoke. Vibrant with great depth, concentration, and power. A touch of sweetness to mellow out the ripping acidity, perfectly balanced! — 9 months ago
Lovely deep ruby colour, with a dark fruits aroma. Smooth and medium bodied with a lovely rounded cherry and blackberry.

Bottle compliments of Ken and CIG’s 30th; opened during Moxie’s soft opening at Alexandra House. Danny is drinking solo as he has been since June (counting the days until cleared to drink again) — and comments include, “it gets better the colder it is; I like French and New Zealand SB more; it doesn’t have the acidity we are used to...” Most importantly, tonight we toast to Josie as we wrap our head around what 22 August will forever mean to us. We have one other bottle; will confirm rating when we both can share the bottle. — 3 years ago
Very good, but still tannic and needs time. Well made wine. — 6 years ago
2007 Peter Michael Point Rouge Chardonnay. HB w MnD and J&D B. We loved this wine wine so much at the Heart concert and we loved it tonight. Floral, along with notes of buttery brioche and oak. However, somewhat surprisingly, as we drank this in comp to the 2013 Ridge Monte Bello Chardonnay, it did not win out. Still such a great wine that we really, really enjoyed. — 8 years ago
2019. Restrained aromas with a hint of petrol, but once in the mouth it’s all citrus and stone fruit flavors. Delicious! A little more sweetness than I expected, but it worked great when paired with the Vietnamese marinated pork tenderloins we made for dinner. — 7 months ago
The 2021 Chardonnay Belle Côte is a wine of tremendous density and power. Orchard fruit, dried pear, graphite, anise and dried flowers infuse the 2021 with tremendous flavor complexity. Readers will find an intensely mineral, savory Chardonnay with the fruit pushed into the background. Belle Côte is the original Chardonnay planting at Peter Michael. An old standard in our household. Velvety smooth, rich juicy berries. Glad we can purchase Freakshow even at Costco in TX and have a solid, boozy Cab at the ready. — 3 years ago
That is my favorite from the tasting. High elevation vineyards at 1800-2000 feet. Kermit tasting. — 7 years ago

Enjoyed this cab on September 20,2023. Happy birthday, dad. Wish you were here.,, — 8 months ago
See previous note from a year ago. More medium bodied than I recall from previous tastings. Plum flesh aromas and flavours together with dark chocolate. This wine is obviously old vine Barossa Shiraz and is Peter Lehmann’s flagship. Still plenty of power and energy which will see it through for several more years. — 10 months ago
Not overly dry, fruity — 3 years ago
