Great nose. Secondary starting. Mushrooms, spice, minerals, sour cherry, mint, undergrowth, very nice and keeps opening. Palate is still a bit backwards initially. Palate is powerful yet opulent and lush with elegant but forceful tannins. Juicy and complex and spicey. Tannins a tiny bit drying but excellent nonetheless. — 7 years ago

Silky tannins with bright acidity. Drinks like an elegant Pinot noir when comparing to any Pinot from U.S. Pairs great with gruyere and roasted chicken. It stands up to bold flavors in a dish. — 8 years ago
Fleshy, juicy, bitter orange. Real good. — 9 years ago
Delicious! Just a hint of reduction, lovely weight and balanced acidity 😀 — 10 years ago
Overdelivered. Not expecting much and it was very pretty with plenty of life left — 10 years ago
Unfortunately it was frozen while cooking. Sad. Still stellar though. Grower champagne according to the wine seller. Lots of acid, tart, green apple, honey. — 11 years ago
Lemon, oak, wet stone. Love the mouthfeel--velvety chocolate milk texture. Paired with lobster in tarragon sauce, which were great together. White Burgundy always reminds me of melting snow in the spring. — 6 years ago
Relatively light with nice dark berries and a hint of strawberries — 7 years ago
GL Burg Pernot tasting 2/8/17. Starter for second flight. Yum. Tasty and impressive in its balance and stony character. — 8 years ago
You think that you know a wine, like PdC. Then you try something like this and it changes your whole perception of the genre. Serious juice. — 9 years ago
Ripping. Stalky raspberries and a juicy soft palate. So good. — 9 years ago

2003. A genuinely surprising Beaune 1er Cru from a challenging vintage. This has the ripeness of fruit one might expect, but no hint of flabbiness, just real vivacity and no small amount of class. — 7 years ago
Damn tasty. — 8 years ago

Little oxi in the glass but great on the palate. Lovely way to start the evening for sure. — 10 years ago
