A white Nerello Mascalese from Cantine Valenti locates in Passopisciaro. Fantastic white from southern Italy, paired great with an orange anchovy salad. — 5 years ago
Nice red from Etna - Passorosso 2016. With Gianluca Cristiano Paolo and Ferruccio — 7 years ago
Bella beva, sapido, fresco e minerale, gli agrumi di Sicilia, un bel pompelmo, passopisciaro è una zona di garanzia — 9 years ago
Love this unusual cab franc-merlot blend from Andrea Franchetti!, also an unusual guy with some rock'n'roll background with which I seem to sympathise. If this is the future of the much-loathed Super Tuscans, sign me in! Oxidative approach, racking, 2nd, 3rd & 4th passage barriques, cement tanks. A wine that sits nicely next to you and invites to enjoy, not a masculine ego-show. Looking forward to try his Passopisciaro very soon #rosso #toscane #andreafranchetti @WineTraining @Dusan Bradanovich — 10 years ago
Big Nerello with tannic structure. Red fruit with smoke and earth. Delicious. — 3 years ago
2020 spring. Really lovely - it has that thruline to Burgundy, but with more overt sour cherry, more baked spice and ash. It’s be fun to compare with the Passopisciaro and Alta Mora versions — 5 years ago
Nose of black cherry and pine straw. On the palate the flavors are the same, with great depth, structure, and length. This has a gravity that goes beyond most any Etna Rosso I’ve tasted. Phenomenal, and has years if not decades ahead of it... — 8 years ago
Solid producer.....immediately adjacent to Passopisciaro — 9 years ago
Delicious wine, a bit tight dominated with with red and blue fruits, but nice savory notes of Provential herbs, with medium plus tannins. — 10 years ago
Deep translucent ruby. Salty, smoky nose with strong iron/blood notes. Medium bodied with very nice grip. Pure red fruit. Good length. Clean and fresh and juicy. Balanced. Not as good as Etna pt 1 but still, love this style — 6 years ago
Awesome. Paired with turkey chili (sautéed onions, carrots, organic northern & cannellini beans, can of tomato purée.. Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, red chili flakes). This medium body wine has a little spice and pairs perfectly. — 7 years ago
