M. Chiarlo’s Moscato d’Asti is also available in a 375ml which is a nice size to pop open after a nice meal. A slight effervescence wine with a light golden color. Aromas of sweet fresh stone fruits and citrus layered with a bit of floral spice. On the palate flavors of peaches and apricots with a grape-like character. Medium finish ending with citrus, sweet spice and honey notes. A favorite, great value! Grab a 750ml for a larger crowd! — 5 years ago
Extremely complex and full of acidity. Aromatics of lemon, Granny Smith apple, basil, wet stones and rubber. The pallet features flavors of lemon pith, peach, green apple and slate. Straw colored and lively. Hint of fruity sweetness on the finish. Nice FLX expression of this outstanding Eastern European grape! — 6 years ago

This wine has new distinct and appealing expression of a little known but big grape. #vineandwine #husk #charleston — 10 years ago
Champagne notes of yeast and bread, subtle and soft and lovely. Dry and pretty — 10 years ago
Primarily made with the native Cataratto grape, this Sicilian white features fresh and fruity aromas of yellow apple, peach, white flowers and a touch of lemon zest. Same fruits on the pallet. Hint of saline on the finish. Mild (but tangy) acidity helps this wine to be quite thirst quenching and refreshing. Straw gold color and lovely texture. — 4 years ago
This wine is INSANELY underrated! So much to unpack here. A flavor bomb. — 5 years ago
Lighter bodied with lots of raspberry and cherry fruit. — 6 years ago
Notes of grape. Got me drunk. 10/10 would drink again. — 7 years ago
Excellent blend of cab sav, Merlot, and cab franc — 8 years ago
Love the nose on this one. More fruit forward because of the blend of Merlot with Sangiovese and one other local grape whose name escapes me. On the wine list at Nonna. — 9 years ago
This was light and just right. I will buy this again — 10 years ago
My wife wanted to buy me an interesting wine as a Valentine’s Day gift and chose the 2013 G.D. Vajra Kye Freisa. I’ve tasted a lot of the Piedmontese grape varietals, but never Freisa until tonight.
After a decent decant, the Kye, being a dark ruby color, was a deep, rich wine with notes of roasted strawberry, wild blueberry, black plum skin, rolled tobacco, white pepper, blood orange, dried herbs and hot asphalt. The wine initially seemed a little wild, earthy and gamey, but that blew off after a bit. Structurally, the Kye was medium plus body, medium plus tannin, high acid, and had a fairly long finish. Delicious wine that paired well with a fire roasted tomato bolognese with rotini. — 5 years ago
Made from the other White Burgundy grape, Aligote. Made by probably the most famous name in Burgundy, Aubert de Villaine and his American born wife, Pamela. Aubert is the wine director and proprietor of the Domaine de la Romanee Conti. This is his own personal project. The wine itself:- Mid lemon in colour. Herbs, citrus and a touch of aniseed on the nose. The palate is very citric and mineral with a noticeable saline note. More palate weight than it had a few years ago. Medium minus Acid. Drinking well now and no need to cellar any further. Great winemaking at an affordable price. — 6 years ago
