Really like this muscadet. Totally quaffable. All the acidity and minerality I want in an every day white. — 3 years ago
Second label (Domaine de Chevalier) Graves Red Blend. (65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, and 5% Petite Verdot). Deep purple color. Dark berry aromas and flavors. Hints of cedar, licorice, minerals and baking spices. Round and silky. Long finish. Well structured. Great value. — 4 years ago
Man I love me some midsummer Muscadet. This bright crisp one hit the spot. Queue up the yacht rock and pop the cork! — 5 years ago
Holy Cow! This is drinking beautifully today. Can't imagine if getting any better. Butterscotch, mineral, great length. — 9 years ago

2009 vintage. A blend of 66% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot, and 6% Petit Verdot. This estate has an impressive track record of high quality, even before it was bought by the Bernard family. Olivier Bernard managed to considerably expand the vineyards without compromising the quality of the wine, which is one my favourites. Unfortunately they use 100% Diam corks these days, which sadly stopped me from buying the wines. Anyway, this deeply coloured 2009 is a beauty that starts to shine with only 5 minutes in the glass. Impressive aromatics of black fruit, cedar wood, dark chocolate, vanilla, subtle spices and delicate floral hints. In the mouth it is extremely elegant and effortless, with everything in the right place. Exquisite balance with layered, perfectly ripe ( but not jammy) black fruit, embedded in a solid ripe tannic structure, and a very, very long finish. Everything falls into place, nothing is overdone, absolutely impressive, even if I believe it hasn't even reached its peak yet. This should age effortlessly for decades. Ab. 13,5%. — 9 months ago
Top ! — 4 years ago
Light & bright. — 5 years ago
Pale in color; slightly waxy, lime rind, white flower. Excellent vibrant acid balance with a layered texture and full body. A delicate almond note on long finish suggests drink up but this was in great shape overall. Dancer has a wonderful touch with CH.

Solid example of the GC but to be honest I've never really been impressed with Chartron, they tick a few boxes, but when it comes to a wine that moves you, this isn't the producer I would talk about, mediocrity is a harsh word, but it's what I've found so often, considering the price... — 9 years ago
On night one, pretty much closed with some nice minerality and lemon. after .3 days in the fridge all these wonderful melon and other fruits come out to balance the acidity and it becomes a masterwork of Muscadet.. buy a case and age 8-10 years folks.. gorgeous — 9 years ago
Marvelous #structure #aromas of #blackberries and #cassis #charred oak. The berry bush in the most subtle and elegant way. Pleasantly surprised by this wine. I believe it has great aging potential. Great now and will be smooth and more complex in the future. — 10 years ago
2010 with such fresh crisp fruit. Meyer lemon and powdery minerality. Want to put away a few bottles, see the evolution. — 10 years ago

Nice Muscadet but a little too much alcohol in the finish. The attack had some nice white fruit flavors. — 2 years ago
Last day of CNY at Arthur’s house. Smoky, flinty nose. Smokiness hits hard on palate. Ripe lemons. Balanced and elegant. — 2 years ago

Young, fresh, delicious Corton Charlemagne. Perfect first bottle for one of our favorite venues….slightly oaky, nutty scent with soft apricot/peachy flavor….it went disappeared pretty quickly so can’t be bad! — 8 months ago
