Nice Cali Chard with Daniel.
Apricot, honey, liquorice, almonds, oak, cress and a light Brett. Nice acidity with balanced oak. First impression is a bit mean but gets better with time. Cassis & bread, overripe lemon palate which made me think of SB. Rose apple, papaya seeds and overripe lemon aftertaste.
Had the last glass after dinner: now strong buttery popcorn nose. — 10 years ago
Classic Prüm closed nose of wet wool mixed with tropical fruit. Plenty of wet match stick sulphur, always reminds me of a swirling mix of sweet papaya and shandy bass but with plenty of clear complexity to come. In the mouth it's fairly foursquare at the mo but has plenty of promise, well defined apple & lime fruit but really needs another 5-10 years in the cellar to shine — 12 years ago
Super vibrant. Fresh cut grass, mineral notes, papaya, lemon. On the palate: Zingy citrus, slight smokiness and fruit bitters. A bit of heat but nice acidity. — 10 years ago
Lychee, Papaya, and pie on the front end!! — 10 years ago
Such a luxurious wine, really one-of-a-kind..
Honey glazed pastry, deep tropical nuances, vanillapods, camphor, Grand Marnier, apricot and papaya. Surprisingly soft, suave and sensual. Low in acidity yet very persistent, well-balanced and complex. Unctuous, fatty and delicious, kinda like a juicy lobster. Get it? — 11 years ago
Very interesting Sauvignon blanc. Tons of ripe tropical fruit: melon, papaya, mango, but holy 125% new oak. One swirl and the entire oak aroma/palate wheel comes rolling out. Rich and viscous with the acidity held down. Sell this as Chardonnay not Sauvignon blanc. — 10 years ago
Lychee, papaya, ripe mango, high acidity complements well the sweetness. Love it! — 11 years ago
Papaya, cheese rind, marshmallow... — 11 years ago
You were crisp tropical mango, papaya, and pineapple mixed with baked apple. You had Medium+ acidity, with a smokey minerality that shows off your French oak influence. Your finish was nice, and you'll go nicely with my grilled snapper for dinner. Grgich Hills Estate Chardonnay 2010 - Napa Valley. 40% new French oak, no malo. — 12 years ago

Oh my goodness. This Sauvignon blanc is everything. Intensely tropical---guava, papaya---and sharp yet creamy. — 10 years ago
