Pale golden yellow color with aromas of stone fruit, citrus and herb spice notes. On the palate flavors of apple with slight citrus and honey notes and herb spice. Good acidity, balance and structure, medium+ finish ending with earthy mineral character. Very Nice! — a year ago

Day 1 was tight as a fish's arse. Tannin, acid and more tannin. There were some pretty floral aromatics but it was really austere in the mouth and not all that enjoyable. I drank half of it anyway.
Day 2 is a different wine. The pretty florals have gone and are now richer strawberry and chocolate aromas, menthol and some faint spice. Then darker fruits, terracotta, spicy cedar. Finishes long, puckering and quite moreish. Acid sticks out a little but the potential is clear. This needs a real good decant or at least another 5 years. — 9 years ago
Great for a peppery seared fish , Recommended by Mario, fantastic selection on his end. Only 24$ and the dinner guests like it — 10 years ago

One of my favorite — 13 years ago

Medium ruby color with a slight brick rim. Plentiful aromas of purple flowers, asphalt, must, menthol and dried dark fruit. Pallet is more dried red fruit driven along with notes of tobacco and black licorice. Quite acidic and a tannin structure that has mellowed with time. Intense but in great balance. Wonderful and interesting wine. Thank you for sharing, John B! — 3 years ago
Great Italian Pinot with a long cherry aftertaste, really nice blackberry flavored and earthy taste. This worked really well with Moroccan spiced chicken fire roasted eggplant and couscous. — 5 years ago
Just lovely. Nose of cherry pie, extremely dry and tanic, with the finish of dark chocolate. — 6 years ago
Dry, deep, slightly fruity — 9 years ago
Quite possibly the most reduced wine I've opened all year. Like curling up in a tire factory. But. After an hour, a beautiful, light, red fruited and amazingly aromatic wine emerged, grounded by hot rocks and Sicilian spirit. Nice value and killer pizza wine. — 10 years ago
Delish! Medium bodied yumminess table wine. Great with food. — 11 years ago
Love this Falanghina white grape. Crisp & citrus tastes. Found this at Total Wine for under $12 — 12 years ago

Poured into a decanter about 30 minutes prior to service and enjoyed over the course of a few hours. The 2019 San Valentino pours a deep ruby/purple color with a near opaque core; medium+ viscosity with moderate staining of the tears and a decent amount of sediment. On the nose, the wine is developing with sensational notes of Bing cherry, plum, licorice, Palo Santo, varnish, balsamico, exotic spices, and a mix of dried under brush and earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose . The finish is long and there is no shortage of excitement. A wine that simultaneously makes you think and fills you with joy. Drink now through 2034. — 8 months ago
