Warm, fruity nose with notes of wild flowers, honey and peach. Rich and slightly creamy on the palate with warm acidity. Clean acidity leads to flavors of citrus rind, crushed stone and a hint of nuttiness. The finish is surprisingly light and clean with bright acidity and a touch of herb. — 8 years ago
Light funk, moderate flint on the nose. Gorgeous round, but not overbearing, fruit. — 8 years ago
Honeysuckle, medium acidity et stones and peach. — 9 years ago
Incredibly surprised. 01 stolpman Sangiovese. Completely intact. Color, fruit and acid. Frigging beautiful — 9 years ago

2012 vintage.. Great flavor... Not too sweet and not too dry... A perfect Rosé!...tasted great with a chicken dish — 8 years ago
Took a little time to open up and slightly high in alcohol for the varietal but drank with great complexity. — 8 years ago
Interesting wine. Have had Palmina's malvasia bianca, but never a sparkling version. Very floral nose, maybe a hint of petrol (but I'm having a tough time nailing it down). Level of carbonation is less than what you find for a champagne or even a prosecco (really interesting contrast with the latter, by the way). Seems to have a trace of residual sugar, but not so much to make it cloying (but that changes if it warms up too much). Good choice as an appertif or with cheeses. — 9 years ago
35 Sangiovese, 35 Cab Sauv, 15 Malbec, 15 merlot. I don't know how they do it but Palmina consistently produces wines not only of great quality but with all of the characteristics you'd expect of a good quality Italian wine. Big punch of flavor, acid and tannin that you just don't see in other Italian varietal American wines. — 9 years ago
Another great treat! Delicious new world Dolcetto. — 9 years ago
Fun new varietal from Palmina, super refreshing lime-aid quality fresh and fun! — 9 years ago
Drinking quite nicely, smooth with a hint of effervescent citrus and balanced acidity — 9 years ago
Rich and jammy with both a plush nose and palate. Loads of red cherry fruit. — 8 years ago
Succulent red fruit, well balanced acid / tannins. Beautiful expression of Cali terroir as you might hope from Nebiollo, great stuff. — 8 years ago
My new house wine. All day everyday — 8 years ago
Drinkable now, but with enough guts and spice to have some surprises in it. Light funk on the nose, minerality, and fruit all in balance. — 8 years ago
2011 palmina "pressed pronto red" Santa Barbara county barbera/dolcetto.
Black pepper, blackberry jam on the nose, very young, spice, respberry on the palate.
Love this wine! Great value for $15 wine — 9 years ago
Lovely, rich, great food wine. — 9 years ago
Ten years in and starting to really hit its prime years. Italian varietals in California can be rough and few varietals are more challenging than Nebbiolo but this is the finest CA Italian varietal red I've ever tasted by a wide margin. — 9 years ago
First unfiltered wine I've had. Amazing! I need a bottle for sushi night. — 10 years ago
