These wines are a wild ride. Ultra old vine pais. Côte Du Puy meets La Souteronne. Sour cherry, rose water, steel wool, oxblood, rust, pink pepper. — 9 years ago
V10. Big wine, decant for 45mn. Tar, cedar, slight smokey bouquet. Deep dark berries and pepper fruit. Soft chalk and leather finish. A bit unbalanced, and can lay down a while...watch out! — 10 years ago
Red fruit, perhaps strawberry with nice acid. Really good sparkling with the pais grape! — 10 years ago
Rating this higher than I did earlier. Decanting really helped. — 10 years ago

This is the Garage Wine Co. 2017 Phoenix Frement. I’ve asked Delectable to add it.
One of the more enjoyable nights we’ve had on the trip was meeting Derek Mossman - Owner/Winemaker of Garage Wine Co. and tasting through 15+ wines at his house and then going out to dinner to enjoy the best two wines. The next day we got up and picked in his Truquilemu Vineyard; which is about 35km from the coast.
Macerated lemon, a little cream, citrus blossoms, underripe pineapple, melon, light chalkiness, passion fruit, guava, white flowers, granite mineral, very good acidity and a rich polished finish.

Lovely honey notes and quince. Great bottle and last of our cases. — 8 years ago
Mineral, easy finish, easy to drink, fruity and smooth — 8 years ago
Had with oysters and was divine. Great lees undertone and extremely aromatic, hitting all the right notes. Well played, sir. — 9 years ago
Lovely rich fruit, fine tannins, judicious oak… but not worth the really high price! — 9 years ago
Here's a counter example to my dislike of carbonic--this was fresh, light, bright, and spicy. Almost like punch, but in a good way--lots of cherry and strawberry notes I loved here. Would be a perfect red to go with spicy food. Pais = mission grape. — 10 years ago
Love this wine.

MaJ CappS
Dusty dusty nose - aged hazelnuts.
Light bodied, with a touch of mushroom, tart berry, cran, pom, pom-cran, lemon grass acidity. This is a wild, ever changing wine, every time I taste it.
Last bottle, will have to go back to Chile, and get some more..
