Wow! I had very little expectation from this wine but... I was totally wrong: perfectly balanced with well controlled acidity and the right amount of fruit flavor.

The nose is plum, funk, mushroom, loads of earth and rocks, tobacco, and a whiff of lavender. The tannins have started to relent revealing more balance and freshness as it recedes.
