I opened this tonight, because it was getting a little dark in the bottle (i.e., out of fear that it was corked). However, it was a perfect late harvest Botrytis Riesling, desert wine. This was from my first visit to Northern CA wine country. — 13 years ago

1994. Very good, not exceptional. Tastes as much like Burgundy as it does N. Rhone. It put up a good challenge tonight to Sean Thackery's 1994 Orion Syrah. It ended up a tie with the lamb marinated in pomegranate juice. — 12 years ago
