The 2004 Dom Perignon Champagne is sinfully good at fifteen years of age. Showing off its downright sexy golden hue, the wine evolves quickly once in the glass displaying a dazzling array of aromatics, from orchard fruits to peat moss and toasty brioche as well as shades of salted Marcona almond that all nicely meld together. The palate yields a wonderful combination of richness and tension. There is a lovely ripe, almost unctuous texture to this aged Champagne. Flavors of salted macadamia nut, ripe pear, kumquat zest and shades of Shiitake mushroom with lighter biscuit undertones all combine brilliantly. This is a satisfying, downright hedonistic champagne that will be extremely long-lived. Drink 2019-2040- 97 — 6 years ago

Drink it, enjoy it! Great by it self, It’s like an Loire, Beaujolais and Bordeaux combined, from the chocolate and blackberries, to great tannic herbs finally with soft, light, delightful and rich fruit dark fruit. A beautiful Mencia, worth a try for anyone for reasonable price, to explore greatness and achievements this producer did with this underdog , yet familiar grape, it just proves it has a future and fame to reach within hands of careful producers and vigneron’s. — 8 years ago
Multilayered and changes once the wine gets some time to breath. So smooth, rich and creamy. Dark fruits and great with a meal. One of my top 10 favorite wines — 9 years ago
Funky at first but subsequently blown away. Fresh, leathery, flowery, with some structure. Can tell it was once a great bottling. A bit long over due. — 9 years ago
Tasty!! Sweet, very slightly dry, strong cherry notes, with a touch of cranberry, cardamom, and vanilla. The nose is extremely pleasant, full of cherry and oak. Very, very nice — 10 years ago
Very fruit forward with a smooth finish. Detect a lot of brown sugar. After letting it breathe got more of the maple flavor. Light body. Very light tannins. — 10 years ago
1959 and still with strong fruit, a powerful, finessed body, and beautiful structure - great acidity to balance the strong body. Smooth with a vibrant kick, but definitely some expected musty earth with this age. Fruit is a bit raisinated but present and persistent. Don't dally once it's open - enjoy! Truly a well made wine. Tasting this was a wonderful reward after sweating through getting the cork out safely! — 10 years ago
Only had it once and blown away. Would like to have it again!! — 12 years ago
A blend of 98% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Merlot, blended then aged for 24 months in 50% new and 50% once-used American oak. Deep Ruby color with aromas of black fruit, licorice and minty floral notes. The palate beautifully displays rich ripe blackberry and black cherry, a hint of sweetness, vivid acidity and the right touch of toasty vanilla oak, still youthful in development. The wine has nicely integrated tannins, still holds some grip on a long finish which should give way to let this wine age for the next decade+. Excellent, Tasting Sample! — 6 years ago
Magnum. Was great. Meaty spice, dark fruits, earth and pepper once it opened a bit. Christmas dinner wine with prime rib. — 7 years ago
Very delicious once I stopped crying that we’d opened it a decade too soon. Stems and taut astringency, blackberry and pink peppercorns — 7 years ago

Nice wine...still very young. Lots of tannins-practically chewing on wood for a while. Fantastic once it opened up. It was particularly amazing with cheese tonight! — 8 years ago
This is definitely a great bottle. High alcohol but once it opens up the bouquet is marvelous; Vanilla, baking spices, fresh berries and cream. All upfront taste... bright fruit, berries, orange notes, red apple skin, medium-high tannins but all upfront clean finish, surprisingly light body. I would recommend this wine and would be an easy seller with a decent price point. — 9 years ago
The sister property of Haut-Brion and a wine many consider an unofficial 1st Growth, La Mission was firing on all cylinders this night. The 2000 nose was classic, showing the signature Graves scorched Earth, ripe currants, creme de cassis, and roasted coffee beans. The palate built around a core of earth and rock, with a structured and textural powerhouse that relents in the glass as you taste it further, unwrapping the aroma and flavor kaleidoscope slowly and keeping you coming back for more.
The 2005 was more of the same but on another level of density and strength being a younger wine and also from an excellent vintage worthy of at least 5 -7 more years before I would go at it again. The nose hinted to a deep future, with the palate clamping down and not showing any signs of relenting that night.

Even amongst great company, a cut above. For once a legend lives up to the hype. — 10 years ago
Good once it opened up. Great with the steak. — 10 years ago
Super Tuscan at its finest. Cab elements were in the forefront and the other varietals were a strong supporting cast. Lots of $$$ but worth it at least once or twice. Especially vs Antinori... — 11 years ago
Very smooth! — 12 years ago
Long, mint and cinnamon. Once in a while it is nice to feel like you are drinking a great bottle at exactly the right time. — 6 years ago
Slightly dusty corky note which hung around longer than it should have. Also on the nose Herbs and Mint rule the roost with berry fruit in the background. Cabernet makes its presence felt in this Cab Shiraz blend with its structure and a touch of austerity. Restrained fruit and an elegant style still with a good future. — 8 years ago
Smooth, complex and balanced all at once.

Tyler's new favorite dinner wine! — 10 years ago
Favorite wine so far. Very refreshing. Bought it because of the name/ label, haven't found one to top it yet. — 12 years ago
Once again, Orin Swift has created a well balanced full body and amazing! — 12 years ago
Maddison
Needs at least 1-3 hours to open up! But once it does it’s a Bordeaux true to style; black fruits, spice, silky smooth with a touch of acid and tannin. — 5 years ago
