Great discovery from another under the radar appellation: Les Riceys, a commune in the Côte des Bar, about 2 hours south of Reims, almost bordering Burgundy. Savory, not sparkling Rosé made with Pinot Noir from a single vineyard on chalky soils, farmed biodynamically. Carbonic maceration. Aged in barrels for 3 years. Pale ruby color with orange hues. Lively, complex nose with aromas of strawberries, smoky notes. Light-bodied, mineral, saline, great texture. Reminiscent of Poulsard — 9 months ago

The wine needs air. Nice pairing of grapes, gamay offering enough fruit to cohabitate with pineau d'aunis rusticity. — 8 years ago
2010's Chateauneuf drinking well .this is a great value for the amazing quality . Graphite and sour cherry on the nose. Silky wine with finesse not a huge monster ripe fruit and fine tannins (young) Cheers! — 11 years ago

The balance of mineral undertone with pops of apricot was $$. Would have let it breathe a bit longer but can’t complain overly — a year ago

Super Delishous ... smooth and no flavors of oak (which we typically do not enjoy). Imported by the Square Root LLC company in Fitchburg, WI. A rare find! — 7 years ago
1997 old vine Chablis - Lemon meringue pie, with some yellow apple. Less minerality than I expected but shows on the finish. Potentially starting to approach it's peak at this age. — 8 years ago

Absolute harmony and royalty in a glass. Popped with Goose in a random afternoon cause, why not. Blown away by its place right now. Balanced with richness and acid and then comes that Monty finish. Holy fuck! Not always moves by Leflaive, but the 14 was special. — 9 months ago

Another excellent bottle, a little more mineral and acid than the Aux-D, less crisp and clean but also more buttery than the Mersault / Monthelie — 3 years ago

Spiced apple and pear dominate the palate upfront with a hint of white peach. Leading into that irresistible minerallity you often get from Loire Valley whites. Lively acidity on the finish keeps you coming back for more!!!! — 7 years ago
Give this one a little time. But it may be THE (or one of certainly) benchmark wines for the appellation. — 9 years ago
Yum. Saint Bris at age 5 (2009 vintage) and it's superb. Long, elegant, lemons, piercing. Their wines never disappoint. — 9 years ago
