Really nice wine. — 10 years ago
Ruby going garnet. Burnt black cherry, mushroom, bell pepper and mint on the nose - hint of ethyl acetate. Silky mouthfeel, fine, well-integrated tannins, flavors of dark fruit, cedar and forest floor. Bracing white pepper after it opens up a bit. Exceptionally balanced. Perfect with grilled tri-tip and roasted potatoes. Left-banky, reminds me of a nice St. Julien - oceans are oceans! Bravo Paso Robles. — 10 years ago

Very smooth and tasty offering from Margaret River. — 7 years ago
This is most likely going to be my summer banger for 2018. Light Ruby/pink hue with an oceans worth of watery rim. Not typical of traditional sangiovese, this was served chilled and is super fruity on the nose, evoking wild strawberries and fresh herbs and a slight balsamic note. The palate makes me dizzy with it's rush of acidity that quickly fades and is reminiscent of effervescence. This is light and fresh, fruity and fantastic. — 8 years ago
As you can see from some of the reviews, this is not for everyone. The reason, I believe, lies in the barnyard funk that is present both on the nose as well in the mouth. Fear not, for this only adds to the complexity and for some, it's appeal. This is a well made wine with oceans of delicious fruit which are only complimented by the tannin's, oak and barnyard. For the money, this wine is an insane value for those who can appreciate the barnyard. It's a bit like overly ripe cheese. For those who can get past it, the rewards are plentiful. I can not but enough of this wine.

Aromatically quiet and brooding but structurally strong and deep. Great acidity, top-notch quality fruit and full-bodied without augmentation. Light years away from oceans of watery, vapid Chianti's. Not pretty but a very real wine at 15 dollars. — 8 years ago
