Last evening in Vegas with my son. Just he and I enjoying some QT together at Mon Ami Gabi. Wow. This delivered big time with an amazing steak frites. Earthy funk, dark red/blue fruit, flowers. Airtime opened it up to a full bodied dark red fruited beaut with svelte tannin grip, fantastic mouthfeel and length. A stunner and one of the better Bordeaux’s I’ve had in quite some time. Decanted for an hour at home before reopening at Mon Ami Gabi, Chicago. This is very rich and full bodied. Huge fruit and floral nose. If you like this style, you might rate it 100. It is so big that you wouldn't want to drink it all night. To me, I can never get enough of a truly great wine, so I would have to call this nearly great. — 11 years ago
