Nice brandy forward port with fruit finish. Bought this in North Adams 17 years ago, happy it's still good! — 11 years ago
Great nose, secondary aromas. Nice earth, mushrooms, leather, a little bit of cedar. On the palette is very well balanced with dry cherry, cranberry aromas. It is at a perfect age. Enjoy now. — 11 years ago
One of the best oxidized white wines I ever had. Next level. — 9 years ago
Went up to the Sierra foothills to drink some @Skinner Vineyards. Met some very cool people who were gracious hosts. Got talking about wine and shiners. Ended up with some #schwag. Highly recommend finding some #grossventrewines. Thanks to Sarah and @Chris Pittenger 🌮 — 10 years ago

Gamay...Such an underrated grape. This wine was quietly delicious. Roasty and spicy. But not in a cloying way. A touch effervescent. Good balance. Almost like a north country Pinot. Super fresh. Okay, I'll shut up now. I could have drunk this all night.... — 9 years ago
Came highly recommended from the Wine Bottega in Boston's North End, and did not disappoint. Unfiltered and perfect for leftovers and relaxing on the couch — 10 years ago
Ok, so this is a wine made by a winery that is allegedly run by a religious cult (the Fellowship of Friends) who has their own AVA (North Yuba) and it has been made specifically for Marriott's low-end Fairfield Inn chain. I would love to know the story of how that business relationship came about. In any event, the Fairfield guests got to drink well with this one. Renaissance is known for somehow making ageable Bordeaux-like Cabs and this wine is no exception. Drinking remarkably young, with a nice blend of red fruit, earth and mineral aromas. Just a touch of green pepper. 13% alc. This is actually one of the better Cabs I have had recently and it should drink well for a decade. — 10 years ago
Beguiling texture. Gorgeous honeyed nose, incredible acidity and totally dry. Everything was in perfect harmony, no sharp elbows. — 11 years ago

Nice nose. Some raspberries and tart cherry. Also an earthy pungent element. Bit of mint. Flavors are nice too. Fruit with anise and great minerality. Zippy. Finishes strong with dark chocolate, cassis and hard candy. — 9 years ago
