Very smooth, not tannic at all. Slightly unripe black grapes. — 5 months ago
IMO it’s the perfect amount of dry. We had it with seasoned, baked chicken. A delicious offering in the $35 range (at time of rating). — 5 months ago
Cherry, vanilla cola with cherry syrup, not sweet though, slight stainless and freshly chopped herb aroma, light and perfectly suited for small bites in the FL heat. — 8 months ago
Bright ruby red color. Bountiful aromas of red berries and dried violets. Pallet is full of strawberry and raspberry fruit with hints of black tea, baking spices, earth and pepper spice. Just a bit of a “gamey” quality as well. Nice hint of oak on the clean finish. Fine tannins and bright acidity. Creamy texture. Rich and nicely rounded. Absolutely a “California-Style” Pinot Noir. Nice choice, Mark Smith. — 2 years ago
Starting to find that good California pinots are better after a few years or a few days after opening or both. — 7 years ago
13.6% ABV. Medium density red color. Red fruit jumps from glass, primarily cherry. Nice wine. — 4 months ago
Jammy and fruity, raspberry flavor, light and smooth, better whe let to breathe and paired with charcuterie. — 4 months ago
Lovely. Yeast, lemon, apple, and a bit of minerality. — 5 months ago
2023 vintage. Maan, do I feel old reviewing this! Sourced from some eminently notable vineyards. Wine rolls up and down and back up again throughout the palate...almost as if you are tasting each vineyard source as stages vs a blend. Def interesting. Light-medium body. May hafta pick this up as a list placement as it is drinking nicely. Absolutely blowing through Oregon pinot tho. Resto pricing at $19 btg (waay too low) and woulda jumped on it but have another CA pinot currently btg that's an even better deal. 11.27.24. — 5 months ago
Light, elegant, a bit floral. Great wine — 8 months ago
Peppery, violets. Not your typical pinot, very fun. — 9 months ago
Medium ruby; medium plus intensity aromas of red cherry, strawberry, subtle red plum, underbrush, subtle eucalyptus, earth and mushrooms as it opens up further; dry, medium plus acid, low tannins, medium alcohol, medium body, medium plus intensity flavors consistent with aromas; lovely and complex, very elegant, develops with time — 4 years ago

07 Williams Selyem Hirsch vineyard Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir honestly 1 of the best PNs iv had in a long time - sublime — 11 years ago
Genuinely good Pinot. Owned by Duckhorn portfolio but still low key. A superscript wine, especially for the price and region. — 4 months ago
Earthy with pretty aromas of delicate berries, herbs and exotic citrus fruits. Some tannins and fairly full bodied. — 6 months ago
Outstanding. Standing applause. It’s very well-balanced with some complexity and a long finish for a Pinot. The way this wine is made adds to the experience. — 7 months ago
Stone fruit and citrus. Easy drinking and delicious for a spring or summer day in the sun. — 9 months ago
Last week at Zion mountain ranch — 9 months ago
The wine has evolved nicely over the last few years resulting in a beautifully balanced and complex Sonoma Pinot. Rose petals, lavender and eucalyptus notes on the nose. Cranberry and sour cherries dominate the palate. Finishes with a little spice. While it is drinking well now it should continue to evolve over time. — 4 years ago
Served it with parmesan, kale, and black pepper pasta. Lovely! — 10 years ago

We had the 2015 Vintage on 1/3-5/25. Medium bodied. An excellent Pinot Noir. Nice mouthfeel. Black cherry blackberry and Asian spice. Really good — 4 months ago
