It's nice to get a wine with some skin contact without going over board. This wine is a perfect example. Grip and "orangeness" bit still a lot of Chardonnay. Drink it at room temperature. The cold covers up the chard. — 10 years ago

Beautiful pale gold in the glass with thin edges. Pineapples, pears, honey crisp apples, and vanilla on the nose. The aromas don’t try to overpower you with, instead they subtly seduce you. Plush mouthfeel and incredible balance. This is not a stereotypical buttery Chard, nor is it overoaked. There’s oak to be had here but just about the right amount. On the palate, the citrus qualities come to life more but not in an overbearing manner. Lemon, more pears, and melon on the forefront with butterscotch and apple pie on the backend. A little unexpected spice note on the finish takes this baby home. Classic but not austere, a bit of elegance without the pomp. Very nice stuff. — 8 years ago

Gas discharge on opening, first sip from can light bodied & kinda fruity (hard to taste). In glass, beautiful red violet in color, nice clean raspberry on nose & pallet. Much better on the second day (i.e. Let this breath or decant). Strong berries and some fragrant wood on the nose. Great complexity with astringent berry flavors mingled with cedar and black pepper spice on the long finish. A nice Cab for an excellent steak.
