Terroir Old vs. New World comparator at 2/28/17 Rouge Tomate Salon Series on A Natural History of Wine — 9 years ago
Had at The Modern in NYC in 2015. Dinner for 1 after Tanya and Lena left. Sommelier-recommended for Pinot Noir lovers adventurous to try from less common regions. — 10 years ago
Such an amazing producer. Tasted blind, the generous chalkiness led me to white burgundy. Man was I wrong. Clean and direct fruit, neutral oak. New world done in an old world style. — 11 years ago
An almost perfect mix of old world and new world. Lots of nuances that keep you coming back. — 11 years ago
If you like Burgundy, this remarkably balanced, yet powerful Chard is amazing, and can hold, but good luck holding off. Josh Bergstrom is one of the best producers of Chard & Pinot in the new world IMHO. Lots of tropical fruits are mixed and underpinned by green apple, toasty oak that's not overbearing, great length and minerality. — 11 years ago
Robert Sinskey's P.O.V Bordeaux red blend is back at Winetasters Of Larchmont and it's drinking better than ever. An old world style blend with new world fruit characteristics...awesome value!!

Wow. Delicious. Much richer and new world in style than the 88 which was tasted in conjunction. — 12 years ago

to file in the category of 'wish I had another one of these for ____ years from now'. Solid, but with forward-looking prosperity. Hawkes Bay forever. — 9 years ago
Dark berries currants and spices on the nose with some eucalyptus and possibly sun-dried tomatoes. A nice nose that is more new world than old world. Lots of spices, dark berries, a little bit of heat from the alcohol with minerals, currents and some hints wood on the Finish. Full bodied some tannins present but well-integrated. The wine is tight young but showing potential in the future.. Needs to be cellared for a few years. — 10 years ago
Rich, oily & vegetal. Yum! #PyramidValleyVineyard #Semillon #Biodynamic #NZwines — 10 years ago
Pure Oregon Pinot. Well made. Bright burgundy fruit. Cranberry and rhubarb. Crisp fruit, earthy undertones, and good acidity on the finish. Again, new world meets old world. — 11 years ago
2008 vintage and what a perfectly aged gem. Huge nose, rich ripe cherry and raspberry coulis. Still has terrific tension and a lengthy, complex finish. Wow @Ryan Woodhouse this was the best bottle yet. — 11 years ago
A great example of the new world adoption of alt Italian white varietals can be found in Massican's "Annia" - an assemblage of Tocai Fruilano, Ribolla Gialla + Chardonnay. Granny Smith apples, honey, lemon custard and stone fruit, intense in flavor and elegant in the finish. — 11 years ago

Best North Forks wine so far. Bought it with Zak and James! — 13 years ago
I'm a long-time fan of the quality and value of this line, but '15 reaches a new level. In addition to the usual fresh nose of red berry and light cedar, the palate has an extra layer of extracted purity, bordering on syrupy after some air, that lends this $22 PN a class I normally associate with the best of Carneros, absolutely new world. Will likely cellar 3-5 years. — 9 years ago

This is as good as it gets in the new world! — 10 years ago
This was smooth and delicious. Low tannins and pleasant to the palate. Enjoyed this on its own with olives and cheeses. A sinful way to spend New Years night. — 10 years ago
white pepper , celery, edamame ..tarragon ..great acidity with med body texture from the new world without being overripe — 11 years ago
Named best Chardonnay in the world outside of Burgundy by Decanter magazine UK which is a big call indeed. Subtle tropical fruit nuances. Carrying a little oak but not overly so. Very satisfying. Impressive to out point Aussie Legends Leeuwin Estate and Giaconda. Right up there IMO. 18. — 11 years ago
Great balance on these older QC's--medium weight and fruit, well-integrated tannins, more old world than new in style. That said, likely not getting any better from here--drink up! — 11 years ago
Full bodied new world rhone blend grime one of the rhone rangers: Randal Graham — 12 years ago
I expected this to be very new world in style but not as much as it was. I can see why people are crazy about this but I won't be spending my money on it.... — 12 years ago

Normally not a new world / oaked chard fan but this one was well integrated. Leaned tropical, and I got lots of salted butter. 🇿🇦 — 8 years ago
