For hot climates, like here on the Outer Banks, I love chilled Pinot Noir for all day drinking. This Marlborough Pinot has the right acidity to stand up to the spices and heat of the NC summer. — 9 months ago
Stone fruit aroma, lemon zest flavor, medium body, rich mouthfeel, paired beautifully with a slightly charred cod dish. — 9 months ago
Easy drinking, pretty sweet though the finish lives up to semi-dry. Pear, peach, apple. — 6 years ago

Fun fact - So this wine is from the winemaker of Cloudy Bay before it got taken over by LVMH. Another fun fact - it's one of the best whites I've had! — 13 years ago
See previous Delectable note in December 2024. Amazingly pale for a 14 year old white. Aromatics of lemon, lanolin and wet straw. It hasn’t yet developed the toasty characters I was expecting, indicating still a long life ahead. Overall this is delicate on a light bodied leanish palate. Only 11% ABV. Lovers of big buttery Chardonnay may not appreciate this wine. 3 bottles left - I will try and have the next one in 12 to 18 months. — 8 months ago

Graceful as a ballet dancer—heady notes of yeasty and nutty roundness (think morning fresh baked bagel with almond and hazelnut) punctuated by the staccato of gently sour citrus (lemon, lime, citron, yuzu), balanced by minerals and delightful fizz. Drinks much younger than it is, so if you are lucky enough to have more of this ambrosia there’s no rush to empty out your cellar (20 is the new 10, as the Boomers would say). Enjoyed this gem at Hayato Restaurant in LA (best Kaiseki I’ve ever experienced) with my daughter Rachel and her friend Lindsay right after they finished taking the California Bar Exam. Best of luck, girls! — 9 months ago
I love New Zealand’s wine, their strong taste and aroma, almost no aftertaste, especially if compared to French or Italian good Sauvignon blanc. — a year ago
Dry, but not flinty, with a touch of fruit and a lot of minerality. Peach, apricot, apple, and honey. Light and crisp! — 5 years ago
