Celebrating my son's '06 birthday (at least his parents were...). Medium weight and lighter side of Brunello, smokey cherry and cedar nose. Taut tobacco and light spice, sour cherry hints. Perfect now, started to give up after 3 hrs so don't wait too much longer. — 9 years ago
Should have decanted this before serving. Opened this to celebrate my second son's birth. This one was much better on day two. — 10 years ago
Enjoyed with Boeuf Bourgignon at our son's house. Tannins have softened with age, wonderful Bordeaux characteristics fully developed. — 11 years ago

My son's birthday year, so no wonder I'm blown away. Striking, mature aromatic pushing dried cherries and plums, beautifully framed by all integrated oak and that telltale Tuscan Galestro feeling. Long, graceful and utterly impressive peaking now-2020. — 9 years ago
Right out of the bottle faint post rain rock, moss, and leather first pour nose showing deep red front-mouth fruit with youthful tannins that will coax your tongue to the roof of your mouth and groovy acid slowing things down letting the moment linger, penetrate, and compliment the amazing meatballs served up by Ben Barker (of Magnolia Grill Durham) at his son's amazing new pizzeria, in Carrboro, NC (do not miss!!)
More on this wine soon, but @13% alcohol and low $s, it's good stuff for sure! — 9 years ago
Perfect if you like'em aged; this is a liquid gas station when the sun sets in a dusty and varm area. Very far from the elegant GG's in Germany but still offers layers of fruit and great length, this show ripeness but also restraint. Beautiful wine. Son's birth year and he liked it too. — 9 years ago
Rehearsal dinner wine. Drinking great, earthy on the nose. This was in mag and my son's birth year. Too much going on to take good notes.

Some nice bubbles to celebrate my son's first birthday — 9 years ago
Infanticide I know. But I bought two to put one away. Honeysuckle, white peaches, green apple, spring lemongrass, cold rain over slate. White gold color. Super long finish that coats the teeth. Delicious. Anticipate greatness in 10+ years. My son's 5 year old birthday wine for his mother. — 9 years ago
Opened a saved bottle for a son's wedding. Was worth the wait. Too bad his brother was not here to enjoy. — 10 years ago
