medium garnet with a hint of orange at the rim. Earthy nose with leather, forest floor and black cherry - very classic sangiovese, medium weight with smooth ripe tannins that turn drynon the finish. Nice black cherry, leather and tar on the close. Not as mythic charm as one might like but the wine still has elegance. Good with neat sauces and hard cheeses — 10 years ago
