This is a terrific noble wine showing sweet red cherries, integrated oak and vanilla spice, tobacco and black licorice.

Agree with all the comments....drinks above it's price-point, fruit forward with a solid backbone of oak. Inline tannins. My only complaint would be that I personally prefer a truer old world style for Vino Nobile. Particularly from such a rooted producer.

Punching above its weight class. A $25 wine that drinks like a $40 :) tannin, cherry, it should come with every pizza.

375 ml. Always a great value, dusty cherry fruit, violet and herbal spice, leather and earth. Out performs the price as usual, but found the ABV a touch high and taxing on the palate. Have had varied experiences w/ the 2011's in Tuscany but the spike in perceivable alcohol seems common. Pickiness aside, great bottle from a great producer of undervalued wine; sign me up any day.

Black licorice, ripe cherry, a touch of brown sugar, leather and tar. Delicious with homemade pizza.

Love it. Great with pork chops. Bursting with fruit, balanced, just yummy.

medium garnet with a hint of orange at the rim. Earthy nose with leather, forest floor and black cherry - very classic sangiovese, medium weight with smooth ripe tannins that turn drynon the finish. Nice black cherry, leather and tar on the close. Not as mythic charm as one might like but the wine still has elegance. Good with neat sauces and hard cheeses
