Was handed a glass of this and without even knowing anything was incredibly impressed. Thought it to be a French wine too, had no inkling it was Napa Cab. Beautiful purple colors that showcases a robust and complex bouquet of blackberries, dark cherry, tobacco, and chocolate. Has some spices too but they are pinned back by the fruit. Medium tannins with medium+ acids, super smooth and well balanced. Vanilla cola, cedar, black currants and more tobacco and chocolate give it a robust and lively blend. Great finish! — 8 months ago
Beautiful: dark, quiet, powerful. Nothing extraneous. Lead with minerals, graphite, tobacco on top of a layer of dry black and red fruit. Tannins were mild. Fit the room (The Grill, NYC) and the meal (Thanksgiving) perfectly. — 9 months ago
Very guava, interesting crisp and tart, not overly grassy — 9 months ago
Sweet nose of ripe blackberries, black cherries, plum, licorice and a hint of herbs. Not much complexity but what beautiful concentration and purity of expression against soft tannin structure and balanced acidity. Good stuff and will likely continue aging@for another decade,. — 4 years ago
Mount V just makes lovely Cab Savs! Still had tannin structure for 3-5 additional years of cellaring. — 8 months ago
Simply beautiful. Wish we had more than 1 bottle in the cellar — 3 years ago

Bold berries up front. Dry middle. No lingering aftertaste. Great cab. — 3 years ago
All class, all sophistication. Lots of black fruit, currants, cedar, earth. A touch of oak, well balanced acidity and fruit. Can age well much longer. Beautiful long finish. Very savory. Smoke meats and salt. Dark chocolate and dusts of graphite also noticed. 13% — 3 years ago

So delish! Beautiful and holding strong with notes of blackberry, black currant, clove, star anise, licorice, dried orange peel, black olive, potpourri, tobacco, leather, earth, cured meat, pencil shavings, graphite, spice box, forest floor. Complex and balanced with a long, elegant finish. — 8 months ago
Very fruity for a cab, for me. Rich deel@berry flavor, light tan in. Would reach for again — 2 years ago

Drinking so well. Red fruits, leather, dried herbs, cedar. Lots of color still. Freshness, tannins present, beautiful acidity. Really solid. — 12 years ago

This wine had excellent dark fruit and tannins that maintain some grip and structure. You can tell this is mountain fruit.
Drank over 3 nights with argon preservation in the fridge.
Paired very well with manchego and also with chili.
