Beautiful Napa nod to the motherland of rose, Provence. Tart strawberry & fresh green herbs makes it tough to peel the glass from our lips to raise a toast of best wishes for winemaker Julien Fayard as he rescues quake-downed barrels and brings in this year's harvest. I haven't had this wine since the amazing '95, '96, and '98 vintages. That memory was better than the present 2011. It had hints of those epic year's game, pepper, barn, and sautéed berries but in a lighter more approachable package. Great value for a motherland, foundation wine. — 9 years ago
