Black cherry, earth funk but brought and fruity. Great balance and acidity. Fun and interesting but also something I could drink regularly. Awesome baby bandol! — 9 years ago
Beautifully balanced, stone fruit emerging, aromatic and a zippy acidity that provides structure for the sweetness. Another reason to love Chenin. — 10 years ago

Yum chateau neuf du papes wines are amaze! — 12 years ago
Gorgeous wine from the 2000 vintage. Bright and vibrant but also full of savory, saline earthiness. Black and green olive, white truffle, dried fig, raspberry liqueur, black currant, orange pekoe tea, wet stone minerality, baking cocoa, black licorice, fresh earth, forest floor. Soft and supple, like velvet on the tongue. Mellow tannins that finish with a peppery note and surprisingly lively acidity. This can keep going for a while but I’m glad we opened it today. — 5 years ago
A solid proof why you should age your Bourgogne wines. A “simple” Village Lieu-dit (above La Tâch) is finding itself in a wonderful stage in life near 10 years past harvest. Just let it dust off its shoulder and catch your attention as it opens up with a toffee like red fruit character, dried roses, sous bois, truffle, spice and rocks before slowly walking out with a graceful posture. — 6 years ago

Well shit. Wildly expressive nose of tea, kirsch, saddle, fennel and sage. Started off too cold but with temperature increase opened up to a beautiful, elegant style CDP with cherry, blackberry, and all sorts of rustic garrigueness. A smoky, blue fruit finish. Tannins and acidity and alcohol all in perfect formation. Just awesome — 9 years ago

An 09 I opened and then vacuum pumped and left for 2 weeks (out of town). It just got better!. Dark and big but not too brawney. Raspberry as opposed to plum fruitv. Nice spice and a just a bit of sweetness — 12 years ago
Semi-sweet, light and refreshing, good table wine — 6 years ago
A marvelous showing for the Vergy 2008. Light on its feet yet gorgeously complex, right in between first and secondary aromatics. — 8 years ago
Closed & monolithic to start but opened up nicely needs air to show — 9 years ago
Bright sunshine. Lisa wants to drink this on the porch of our plantation overlooking the Spanish moss covered elms. Lemon, orange peel, stones. Living and vibrant. Great acid/fruit balance. Med+ length. ~chalky texture. Delicious now but good to age. — 10 years ago
