Barbaresco at its finest at the moment. Dark fruit and cherry upfront that evolved into tobacco, cedar with a medium body. Lots of acidity and was great with the veal parm.

This 2001 brunello still has a fair amount of fruit and acidity. Dark fruit and elegant finish. It went extremely well with veal parmigiana and pork chop at Carbone. The restaurant decanted and it can definitely age longer in the bottle. Only 1400 cases made. — 11 years ago
