Decanted for an hour at home before reopening at Mon Ami Gabi, Chicago. This is very rich and full bodied. Huge fruit and floral nose. If you like this style, you might rate it 100. It is so big that you wouldn't want to drink it all night. To me, I can never get enough of a truly great wine, so I would have to call this nearly great. — 11 years ago

2013 Gilles Berlioz Vin de Savoie Chignin Bergeron "Les Fripons." Same plot as mon ami. This is facing SE. Ridiculous nose again. Honeyed. Yellow fruits. Mineral. Leaps out of the glass. Wonderful. So Roussanne. Textured and riper than mon ami. Less acidity but makes up for it with striking texture. Wonderful again. — 10 years ago
