Tasted this wine in Trastevere within a cellar that had walls built as early as 80BC. Now I will admit, the romance of Roman history may have influenced my rating. But this wine went very well with our suppli. — 10 years ago

Arras de Bobal 2004

Deeply opaque wine moving towards a tawny color. Nose has dark black fruit, sweet vanilla, toast, and a bit of honeysuckle. Palate is full and mouthcoating with mocha, blackberries, white pepper, and baking spices. Acidity is crisp, tannins are firm, and the finish is long.
