The deep mystery of black currant - and its bright acidity as well. Changed a lot over an hour, probably hit its peak stride around that time. — 9 years ago
A nice light bodied, easy drinking red blend, low acidity, peppery at first with a long finish of blackberry jam. — 9 years ago
Smooth, spicy, oaky. Went well with meat lasagna. — 10 years ago

World Cup final wine! Lives up to it superbly. — 11 years ago
Superb! Fresh and vigorous. Scholium project 2012 intern harvest party, wine 13 — 13 years ago
The 2015, the other half of the night's comparison. Less subtle, more floral. Jasmine, rose petal, honey. All powerful, but all a bit separate and distinct. I think this could lie down for a good while. Will be pleased to try another bottle in a few years. — 8 years ago

Full body modern Rioja! Dark cherries... Beautiful! — 9 years ago
Super dark. Very high alcohol content. Lots of balsamic vinegar and maybe a hit of strawberry. — 10 years ago
Sometimes your friends make wine and it's delicious. This was a Syrah - not the Sauv Blanc it loaded. — 11 years ago
Very vibrant and bold. — 13 years ago

My first thought when I pulled this 11 year old Sauv Blanc out of the locker was that I was probably five to seven years too late. Boy, was I wrong. Instead of golden, it was still light to medium straw color. Nose and palate were a bit subtle with lemon and peach, but still good acidity and minerality. A mouth watering glass of wine. I'd look for more, but with about 17 cases produced that may be a tough task. Sadly, the 60+ year old Sauv Blanc vines were only producing about 30-50 gallons of juice per year and have since been pulled. — 9 years ago

2012. Funky and oxidative but fresh and rad on the palate. Pretty cool wine — 10 years ago
Blackberries, black cherries, cloves, and nutragrain bar on the nose. The mouth is surprisingly sweet with flavors of red apple, raspberry, and white pepper. Low acid, low tannins, medium body. This wine would be great way to introduce someone who drinks mostly whites to the joy of reds. — 11 years ago
California underground. Hard to find. Guy who makes red hook. The scholium project. Abe Schoener. — 13 years ago
Scholium project 2012 intern harvest party, wine 8. Really good! Much in common with the amazing Ganevat. — 13 years ago

Both really bright and really deep. Black currant, black raspberry followed by a hit of red currant and red raspberry. About an hour of decant until it was really hitting its stride. — 8 years ago
