Apogee Pepper Bridge Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2010

Andrew Lampasone
9.7

From pepperbridge vineyard all Missoula flood sediment soils mostly CS 33 mr 7 Malbec 4 cf a very complex array of mint dark coco black cherry cassis and a good hand of earth on the nose. A very balanced and fresh wine with a ton of that muance and spice from the nose through the finish this wine needs some time like 2011 a cold classic year! Finish 60+. Most excellent — 11 years ago

K Vintners

The Cattle King Syrah 2013

Two notable history lessons could be taught with this wine. The first being how the elevation of Snipes Mountain was just high enough to preserve its geological record during the Missoula Floods which marked the end of the last ice age, about 10,000 years ago. The second being the story of Ben Snipes, the Northwest Cattle King. Chasing gold up the Oregon Trail, Snipes arrived in Yakima Valley in the 1850s and saw the potential for raising cattle, and would eventually build an empire of 125,000 heads of cattle. K Vintners Cattle King (which also includes some Upland Vineyard juice from Walla Walla) has been on a run lately, receiving 99, 98, & 99 points for their 2012, 2013, & 2014, respectively, from Jeb Dunnuck. This brings the ruckus. It’s like eating a blueberry BLT while going 100 mph in a 15 passenger van and listening to Queens of the Stone Age in Juárez. — 8 years ago

Erratic Red Rhone Blend 2013

Somm David T
9.2

The Erratic is a blend of 46% Mourvèdre, 45% Syrah and 9% Grenache. On the nose, ripe red and dark sweet fruits, bandaid, black licorice, green notes, sweet spice and fresh dark florals. On the palate; spice infused fruits of; blackberries, black plum, dark cherries, blue fruits & strawberries. Crushed minerals, dry stones, violets & dark red florals, black cherry cola, mouthwatering acidity and rich, long, polished finished. The label shows the huge rocks that are all over the region brought in by the Missoula flood.
