Super funky and cool orange wine from Austria. Full and rich with bright acidity. 6 months on the skins gives it a beautiful amber color but it retains its freshness well with only a slight notion of oxidation. — 10 years ago

2006. 8yr old Zin from Lodi. This used to be a bruiser of a wine. Now it's quite balanced, nuanced, and at the end of its life. Very vegetal with green bean and English pea aromas, balsam, and tasting of an amalgam of stewed raisined cherry, black currant , oak, mushroom, and white pepper. 16.5%abv. — 12 years ago
