Expected great things from a Chilean wine. Out if the bottle it was simple. Good fruit on the forefront and a hint of petrol on the back end. After an hour, this was a totally different wine. An orchestra of fruit flavors, pepper, and a nutty finish. This wine finishes relatively long for its youth. I would drink every day. Melissa Carignan 2012 — 11 years ago
Good nose, pale color, good viscosity, floral with hints of citrus. Nothing stands out but is enjoyable. — 8 years ago
Yum. Not over the top melo. Nice acid balance. — 8 years ago
Very smooth — 8 years ago

Salinity, ripe musk melon, and a hint of funk on the nose. Rose flower perfume on the palate, very low acidity. — 9 years ago
Melaka, need I say more. Dark fruit, chocolate, coffee, let it breathe. — 10 years ago
Medium purple; medium plus intensity aromas of red cherry, red currant, red plum, underbrush, subtle herbal notes; dry, medium plus acid, medium tannins, medium alcohol, medium body, medium intensity flavors consistent with aromas; medium finish, fresh and bright, complex for having mostly primary fruit aromas, very good — 6 years ago
Fruity and nice oak notes. Very well-rounded, loved it — 8 years ago

Gordons Čhanin tasting 6/13/17. $43. #1. Nose of white flowers and tropical fruits with mineral notes. Palate that's textured and with tension mouth feel and weight. Long finish with acids and minerals. Saline type minerals. Full melo unfiltered. Sulfur minimal and only after melo. Richest wine in lineup. Best nose of the group. Though not quite as full of tension. — 9 years ago
Spicy and fruity and nice with charcuterie. — 10 years ago
A full bodied melo drinkable wine. Great with spicy food. — 11 years ago

This has always been a go to cheap Riesling, but for the 2018 vintage they made an even Riesling / Muscatel split. It’s so much better than I expected, and for under $15 worth stocking up on. — 6 years ago
