Currently having a love affair with Alsatian and Austrian wines. Beautiful golden color, smells like musky green apple, honeydew, and sunshine. Very acidic, tense, brimming with energy, honey and apple and lime. — 5 years ago
Crazy amounts of carb, lost some to the table. But damn was this yummy. Just drinking a freaking apple — 5 years ago
100% Pinot Gris, not a blend, and delicious! — 6 years ago
Grape can be spicy, leafy, herbal, but also dark fruit as well -- dry, medium tannin, limestone, short finish, super vegetal -- medium body, fresh, juicy, well balanced with earthiness --similar qualities to a warm climate Pinot noir — 7 years ago
Very juicy and fruity. — 7 years ago
Lively with fresh fruit. Finished long with dark fruits. A little spice. — 8 years ago
A beautiful, slightly darker pink in the glass. Aromas of cherry and rose petals mingle with just a hint of wet stone. A very gentile but refreshing frizzante on the palate with tiny, soft bubbles. Distinctively Pinot flavors of soft cherry, raspberry and currant lead to crisp, clean acidity and a drying minerality. The finish is dry and long with just a touch of tannin. A beautiful and different rose. — 8 years ago

Very juicy energetic Pinot Noir. Red fruit, cherry, cranberry with some forest floor and stone minerality. Bright acidity and style due to cool climate. Oxidative on nose but blows off eventually. — 4 years ago
Cloudy yellow-orange. Light fizz, apple and just a bit of funk. Extremely pleasant. — 5 years ago

Meinklang is one of my favorite producers anywhere and we finally scored most of their lineup for the first time I can remember in Austin. Like Foradori, Meinklang is a picturesque self-sustaining Demeter certified biodynamic and organic farm which happens to make insanely good wines.
This is just about the prettiest shade of Pinot Grigio (aka Grauburgunder) I’ve ever seen.
It’s expertly assembled - sour honeyed tangerine and apricot.
Graupert is slang for a scruffy or wild soul - the Pinot gris is grown untrimmed, left to spread its vines wild.
Captured a Meinklang sunset in my glass. — 4 years ago
