Tasted in 2011 and 2013. This is evolving into a beautiful wine. The oak is quite forward on the nose but the rich dark fruits shine through on the palate with pepper and anise on the finish. Drinking very well now but good for another 3 to 4 years. — 10 years ago

The garnet/purple '12 Shingleback Shiraz 'Red Knot' offers a rich nose of black cherry, plum and earth aromas with secondary hints of spice, tar, licorice and dark cocoa. The medium-bodied mouth is lively with huge jammy blackberry and anise flavors, with subtle oak and smooth tannins. Vibrant long finish. A lot of wine for the money! — 12 years ago
Great everyday wine! Fruity yet full. It was recommended by the wine store owner, Will definitely buy again! — 10 years ago

Excellent, light and smooth red — 10 years ago
Cedar, malt milo, raspberry, yoyo biscuit and fresh Blackcurrant have been the aromas showing tonight. I do know this wine can show beautiful leather, stalky notes and earthy aromas but it simply did not last long enough. Precise fruit, tannin targets the front palate but acid plays a backing role. Great wine. — 10 years ago
Crushable. Great summertime wine. — 10 years ago

Great purity of fruit. Nicely integrated oak with very modern style. Light tannin for a cab. None of the jam pursued by past vintners but still great bright fruit. Perhaps best with a few more years in bottle. — 9 years ago
