A very earthy red! Deep red, lots of tobacco, dried herbs, wet moss. A good recommendation that I would revisit. — 5 years ago

Amazing find, very inexpensive left bank Bordeaux from Chateau Massereau. Medium body with great tannins and acidity. Enjoyed slightly chilled, paired with duck prosciutto. — 7 years ago

Had a virtual tasting with Seth Morgen Long. Some of the best Oregon Chardonnay I have had. Really beautiful, well made wines. He is the only producer in Oregon making Chardonnay exclusively. I can’t wait to taste these with some age.

This is a rather crazy bottle, opened up today as more of an experiment than anything else. This wine is YOUTH-FUL. The nose is oak, blackberry cassis and graphite. The entry is youthful, sweet, chalky blackberry and fig. The middle of this wine is DENSE. Dark core, black fruits, a little bit of heat. A little smoky, meaty. The finish has a youthful tannin. With 60 acres of vineyard on Howell Mountain and 300 acres of vineyards in Yountville, you can taste the characteristics of both here in this bottling, but needs years to develop its individual personality. — 8 years ago
