Dangerously easy to drink. Light compared with the other southern Rhône that night, while striking a great balance between rich soil and approachable freshness. — 9 years ago
A touch of sweetness, moderate acidity, moderate alcohol, but wow. Beauty — 9 years ago

2005 - great earthy nose right from the get go. balanced acidity even from the start, which mellows to give way to a pleasant palette of red fruit (but not jammy) burgundy-ness. after opening up over a period of about 2 hours, wine seems to stay tightening up after 3 hours again. Didn't decant. Drank late 2015. — 10 years ago
Pinot noir and Chardonnay (80/20%). Dark coloured, strong tasting champagne with the character of a blanc de noirs. The Chardonnay element freshens it up though. Skip Epernay and make the drive to Vesselle's house. It's worth it! — 10 years ago
2010 vintage is lush but retains great acidity. A strong candidate to introduce domestic Pinot drinkers to Burgundy. Recommended. — 11 years ago
One of the greatest Thanksgiving wines ever? — 11 years ago
Excellent Pinot Noir. A little heavier than a traditional Pinot Noir, with an excellent bouquet. — 12 years ago

Yum! I love the rose season. This is a clean, crisp rose... I would drink it anytime from April thru September. It reminds us of our trip thru the Loire Valley. — 9 years ago
Herbal and savory with a touch of black licorice on the finish — 10 years ago
Initial bread with butter scent followed my nice notes of cedar and raspberry. Very nice. — 10 years ago
Light and refreshing with a sense of sweet fruitiness while remaining dry and mineral focused. — 10 years ago

16,5+/20 — 8 years ago
Purple. On nose jammy, cooked strawberry, green peppers, highly aromatic, tanic — 9 years ago
Happiness is walking into an account to sell wine and having them pour me a HDB burgundy — 10 years ago
Burnt toast and pea soup on the nose herald a honeyed peach and sweet citrus flavor profile, with a bit of yeasty multivitamin flavor lurking to give complexity and character. Nice. — 10 years ago
Out with Adrianne Haslet Davis and Katie Jenkins. We wanted a lighter red for the warm weather and this was perfect. Light berries. A tinge of tobacco. Etc etc. — 10 years ago

Bright fruit but it's feet are firmly planted in the old world. Nice grip, and a little on the young side. — 11 years ago
its chinon and a baked potato for the windy blustery ides of march, that's dinner since my boo is away and all there's to do is watch game of thrones and work harder and sleep deep dreams that you can only have when you sleep alone. I really enjoy this but lately everything tastes light and characterless. maybe I'm just not listening enough — 13 years ago

Celebrating Bastille Day with the spring dinner of the Confrerie St Etienne of Alsace association. Wonderful menu and perfectly paired wines.
A unique blend...Pinot Blanc and muscat. The muscat was most noticeable on the nose and finish, showing some sharp, sweetened pear and honeycomb. The pinot Blanc was dominant on the front and mid palate with melon, honeysuckle and almond. — 7 years ago
