An unsuspectingly forward Riesling with a watery pale hay color and shy aromas of orchard fruits, bitter apple seed, and slate. The flavors take a sharp u-turn - fully expressive with off dry but not honeyed notes of red apple and roasted lemon. It finishes cleanly with slate and wet rocks. Really excellent. — 8 years ago
Candied elderflower, orange blossom. Good — 8 years ago
I like the stems in this but don't know if others would. It's got Sass indeed. Kermit tasting. — 9 years ago
Very sweet, could use more balancing acidity. — 9 years ago

Smells like cheese and taste like tropical citrus — 12 years ago
Perfect residual sugar / acid balance. Very fresh on the nose with notes of mint, wet stones some petrol. Deep and complex. Amazing showing. — 12 years ago

Incredible experience. This lightly sparkling Pinot/ Blauer Portugieser is a revelation. Being German, I didn't even know something like this exists. Mind blowing. — 9 years ago
Merry Christmas indeed! Absolutely stunning. — 9 years ago

A fine example of what this fairly obscure, under-the-radar, consistently good producer can do. — 12 years ago

Vintage 2017 / Man, I am so proud this wine is Dutch. I retasted Apostelhoeve next to Bordeaux blanc and Alsace. And it still stands. Light-footed but with a great backbone. Blend of several grapes. #apostelhoeve — 8 years ago

Mineral driven dryness, light acidity, very low sugar. Notable difference between the standard bottling and this version, the Zehnkommanull. It can rest easy for several more years. Upper Mosel, land of limestone, and Ebling.

Meg Herring
Just as good if not better than I remembered it! I love the high acidity. It is a mix of underripe and bruised apples plus herbs and spices. Perfect for summer! — 5 years ago
