Sogni della Speccia Shale Peak Vineyard Sangiovese Blend 2009

This is a 2007 petite sirah from Mr. T's Vineyard in the Suisun Valley. Bold floral notes with black fruits and a touch of pepper while the palate confirms the nose and adds some tart red plums to the mix. An older-than-usual petite sirah that was quite good and paired well with the variety of dishes we had tonight. We'd heard good things about the Suisun Valley and were not disappointed. — 10 years ago

Haug Vineyard Picpoul 2012

Fun (and apt) fact: picpoul translates to lip-stinger. And yes, awesomely ripping acid & spritely aromatics. Happy to be a bee on that flower of a wine. — 12 years ago

Mil Amores DeWitt Vineyard Red Blend

This was a standout fir me on Saturday. Really intriguing nose of pine needles and citrus - like gin, but in the best way. Then bright red fruits and hints of grapefruit on the palate. — 10 years ago

La Gitana Silvaspoons Vineyard Torrontés 2011

Day after. Really great! Full, bits of spice in aroma and flavor. Crisp upfront and very satisfying flavor/acid through mid-finish. — 13 years ago

Riesling

Riesling from California......and it's good?! Really good. Nice zip. The fruit is starting to show itself a little more and is a welcome addition to the program. Would love to do this side-by-side with Tatomer's from the same site. — 11 years ago

This may be the best Pinot Gris I've ever tasted. I can't even think of any that come close... Deiss, Jermann? Maybe if Bob Stuckey stepped it up? — 11 years ago

Gascony Cadets King-Andrews Vineyard Petit Verdot 2007

Very interesting wine. Straight petite verdot, very limited production...awesome suggestion by the guy at Coppa. No idea of cost or how to get it but would like to buy again — 12 years ago
