From Bevela Wines at Au Bon Climat / Qupe Open House at Bien Nacido. Although a 2011 vintage, this is a recent release after extended barrel age. Made by Marisa Matela Beverly (Asst at ABC) and Kris Beverly. Floral nose jumps out of the glass. Bright acidity, earthy plum and cherry on the palate. Dark ganet color on the core, dark fig, bit of broody, vegetal, touch of nutmeg and spice with kiss of vanilla aroma on the nose. Med body, med p acid, moderate tannin, silky and delicate texture, touch of red pepper spice..moderate plus finish with sweet fig jam. Yummy.
