A gift from a client - and a delicious one at that! Stat sheet says 15.7% alc and it sure shows, this is a BIG Alexander valley cab. Pours a dark purple with blackberry compote, vanilla extract, and dried raisin on the nose - almost port-like in essence but with an old-world smoky flair. The palate explodes with sweet black-seeded fruit, vanilla, and a touch of smoky woodsiness that rounds out the mouth. The tannic wall could age for years and probably needs more time, but I'm glad I dove in. Excellent against-the-grain Alexander valley cab. — 10 years ago

Pretty killer value for $35. Most of their wines suck (IMO anyway), but this is good. Full bodied with dark cherries, olives, and spice. Nose and finish is a little light or would have rated higher — 8 years ago

I kept wanting to sing "I dont pop molly I rock Tom Gore". Really interesting blend and enjoyed this, the tempranillo was noticeable and a welcome twist on the classic meritage. Needs a couple more years to meld, but I would buy this if I ever see it. — 9 years ago
