This wine is very special to me. Visited the Gagliasso family many times and love their wine and hospitality. I got this bottle at the winery and have had it in my basement until now. Christmas Eve seemed like the right time to have it. Anyway, drinking very nicely. — 7 years ago
Deep, dark, balsamic fruit and fragrant scorched herbs on the nose. More sweet, dark, intense fruit, herbs and a little earth on the palate, with a long, very grippy finish. Already deliciously elegant with a promising future. Great stuff. — 8 years ago
отличный аромат, хорошая кислотность, не очень сложно, но гармонично. Неплохое тело, хорошее завершение. — 9 years ago
I know its not profound to say "delicious, fresh-pressed apple juice" but that's exactly what this tastes like. — 9 years ago
Tonight I made my famous bolognese, and this did pretty well with it. — 10 years ago

Dramatic, opulent, rich. I'm already a fan of the Lacrima grape, an absolute jewel of Marche. Made from grapes dried for 120 days. Aromatic Christmas spices, dried dark roses, brandied cherries, ripe blackberries. Secondary notes of bittersweet root and bark, a touch of cacao. A great cold weather cozy sipper for fans of Amarone. Pair with blue cheese, bacon wrapped dates, or balsamic reduction anything. — 10 years ago
Mellowed out tannins, almost like a Pinot Noir. Cherries and smooth oak. — 10 years ago
Unusually bright, red fruit for a Barolo! Strawberries and red cherries, sweet and well structured. — 12 years ago

Jet black in color yet ethereally light on the palate. Tastes earthy with a distinct note of grape leaf (think Dolmathakia). — 6 years ago
