Torrigilione Barolo Nebbiolo 2003

This wine is very special to me. Visited the Gagliasso family many times and love their wine and hospitality. I got this bottle at the winery and have had it in my basement until now. Christmas Eve seemed like the right time to have it. Anyway, drinking very nicely. — 8 years ago

1968 R. Lopez de Heredia Vina Condonia Rioja. Drank for family dinner in Napa. We decanted just before white wine was served. At first drank like a beautiful burgundy- raisiny, sweet, with a smooth finish. Unfortunately, the wine petered out a little quickly. Thankfully, we had the 2001 Casanova di Neri Brunello. — 9 years ago

Vecchia Vigna delle Brunate Barolo Nebbiolo 2006

Deep, dark, balsamic fruit and fragrant scorched herbs on the nose. More sweet, dark, intense fruit, herbs and a little earth on the palate, with a long, very grippy finish. Already deliciously elegant with a promising future. Great stuff. — 8 years ago

Reserve Miriam Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2004

Opened with some funk and stewed fruit, but after 30 minutes came out of its shell. Tobacco and sweet cherry. Makes it know it's from the hillside with the depth of minerality and tannin grip. — 9 years ago
