A bit funky, almost like a bubbly cider. Would. Drink. Again. $28 @ Red and White Wines — 7 years ago
2015 - $12.99 on sale at Safeway; bright bouquet, light body and not too oaky finish; very easy drinking; could be the reasonably priced daily Chard. — 8 years ago
Ahhhh Cahors. A lot going on here. Dark fruit, spice and meat with a little wild blueberry and chocolate. Elegant- though tannins still evident and a touch of brett adds a layer of authenticity. SUBSTANTIAL. Begging for some beef. Ain't nothin' wrong with aged Malbec from Southern France. — 8 years ago
Smooth but with a nice spice. Long finish. Not too oaky. — 9 years ago
Really good, basic, goes with everything white. But again! — 9 years ago
Wow, real knockout stuff. This is not domestic Muscadet - there's not much in common besides the grape. It has the bright, pure fruit but it is put together in a much fuller style, more like a white Burgundy (minus the oak) than Muscadet. I don't say Chablis because while it's an intensely mineral wine and cranked up to 11 in that department, it's not a marine minerality. The mineral element here is volcanic (and so is the soil), bringing to mind all those cliches about aromas bursting from the glass and so forth, and it's every bit as driving on the palate. — 10 years ago
Spicy, soily like the aroma of fresh dirt & chocolate sprinkles. I just enjoy this wine. — 10 years ago
I wish I was back in España sipping this wine with some olives and manchego!! — 12 years ago
Wine # 2 in tonight’s tasting pretty and granache — 7 years ago
It's been a while since I've had a chance to taste the 2009 Gourt De Mautens, and i must say that I'm pretty impressed with it's evolution. Here I found a haunting bouquet of blackberry and marine-inspired minerality, along with moist earth, hints of animal musk, dusty florals and sweet dark spices. It was vibrant and finessed on the palate, yet deceptively so, as mineral-encrusted blackberry and cherry fruit gave way to sweet spice and herbal tones on a silky frame with sweet tannin. The finish was long and polished, showing black fruit and spice contrasted by a hint of sweet herbs and lingering tannin. What a beautiful wine, which I'm so happy to revisit and feel assured that there are many years of development ahead. #rasteau #jeromebressy #rhone — 8 years ago

Soft and sublime, nice fruit with a hint of moss delicious and light — 7 years ago
Textured & elegant. On the whole, this is about finesse, but there is a lingering tension from the powerful fruit which adds the backbone here. This has a citrus-y edge to it which adds an extra layer of acidic structure to the lush orchard fruit. Beautiful wine. — 8 years ago
The fruit for this Pinot comes from two of the coolest, most coastal parts of this appellation, linked by the influence of the Pacific’s cool marine air, which delays ripening. Bright Ruby with berry fruit, citrus and warm spice. On the palate, raspberry and cherry, tangy, with cedar notes and earthy tones. Bright acidity, soft expressive tannins, lingering finish ending with woody spice. Very nice, has room to age. — 8 years ago
Great hints of spice, mocha and chocolate. Enjoyed it so much I finished it and needed a second bottle! Haha — 8 years ago

Decanted. Black cherry preserve, liquorice, and potpourri on the nose. Layer after layer in the mouth. Just a complex and wonderful bottling. Drinking well now and for years to come. — 10 years ago
