Medium ruby in color; cherries, black pepper, and smoke on the nose; high acidity; medium tannins; tastes like sour cherries, clay pots, and strawberries with a long finish. It really opened up after decanting for about an hour. Nellie says she likes the flavor, but it's really acidic. Should be great with a creamy pasta. Falanghina is fun to share with wine novices and experts alike as they are slightly off the beaten track and utterly delicious. Golden yellow with a zesty, bitter salted almond note on the palate, they are voluptuous, not losing track of that sharp salinity, though. Very alive, bringing in under rich white peach and herbal notes to the mix, finishing floral with that almond note recurring. — 4 months ago

Quite deep ruby , with a wide garnet rim, quite young looking. Dried herbs , smoked meat , red cherry, violets , liquorice and antique furniture polish notes . On the palate quite round and rich, sweet red fruits , with that herbal tinge , those liquorice and charcuterie notes also evident . This in fact still shows well a day later , still quite full and rich , with red plum and black cherry notes . Quite good acidity , with quite gritty tannins, balanced alcohol . Decent length . This is very good now though no rush , mature but will continue to show well for a while longer , from now over the next 5 years .
