My new fav Pinot Noir! Aromas of blueberry, plum, cinnamon, cherrywood and a touch of maple. — 8 years ago
Nose is exotic, with sweet oak and ripe cherries. Palette is textured and multidimensional. Tannins still provide a nice upright structure, but are resolved. Finishes with a panoply of rich dark fruits, tobacco, maple syrup and nutmeg. I think 08 in Cali was nothing special, but the Rudius winemaker continues to pull off some splendid acrobatics.
If you have this in your cellar, don't leave it too much longer. — 9 years ago
A warming autumn beer on a cool wet day. Nice hint of spices. Thankfully no pumpkin. Tastes like Christmas — 10 years ago
Burnt caramel, maple syrup, green apple, fried pecans, saline, eucalyptus, dry tobacco. Full bodied, oily texture, good acid, smooth velvet tannins. Long smoky, nutty finish. — 10 years ago
Rediscovered in the pantry.... Left behind by my father, who always enjoys a good bourbon. — 11 years ago
You had me at maple syrup... — 11 years ago
Tastes like black licorice pop rocks with a lingering blackberry finish. — 12 years ago
Full-on Napa strip tease, with all the assets on show. Jam compote, coffee and maple syrup. So extravagant, it’s obscene. As @Carl Fischer described it, “an embarrassment of riches.”
Gifted by @Carl Fischer. Thank you kind sir. — 7 years ago

Always my favorite of the varietals. The depth and complexity of flavors astounding. Super maple, carmel toast aromas. — 8 years ago
Sticky, yellow raisins, maple syrup, no bite, maple syrup and half lemon/half lime, nice phenols and butterscotch, what a nice dessert wine — 9 years ago
Amarone on the nose. Raisins, prunes on the nose. The palate is an uncontrolled explosion of fruit. Deep, dark berries, maple syrup, spice. @Martin G Rivard — 9 years ago

Blueberry and blackberry syrup over pancakes or pie. However, you see it...delicious!!! — 10 years ago
Smooth as velvet, with a touch of Canadian maple sweetness! — 11 years ago
Nose if dark berries, oak, anis and earth. On the palate dark berry and prune, with spice. Excellent zin. Purchased at armida. — 12 years ago
Surprisingly complex and nuanced. There is an undeniable floral component to this wine that is quite atypical for Zinfandel. Mineral-laced, spicy, elegant and simply delicious. Aside from a hint of blueberry jam this is in no way your typical Dry Creek Zinfandel. Weight and texture are beautiful. Loving the lavender and violets. Easily the best wine I’ve had from Maple Vineyard. This is Zin! — 8 years ago

Dark fruit, a little bite and then smoooooth as it goes down... — 9 years ago
An absolute baby, yet to even stretch its legs. Orange cake drizzled in sugar syrup, fig and some bready notes too. Big mouthfeel and quite expansive on the palate. — 9 years ago
Maple nose, chocolate taste, nutty finish....wow! — 11 years ago
A nose of cassis, raisins, bitter cocoa and a touch of caramel. The taste is a syrupy and decadent assault of caramel, maple syrup and oak. Still a hot finish, but with the lower age it has more body to stand up to it. — 11 years ago
Blackberry maple syrup? Delicious! — 13 years ago

Surprising wine. Very thick mouth feel, almost like a syrup. Tastes like a cross between a ruby & and tawny Port. Really long finish with chocolate at the end. Nice. — 7 years ago
