Aroma starts to open it up after 30 min opening. Intense aromas of Tabacco, grilled mandarine orange, red tea bag. Very complex on the nose. Med p body, med acid, moderate tannin with hint of spice, structured and masculin wine that can go well with grilled thin steak-(simply cooked with olive oil and rosemary). Day and night compare to the 2008 Kupfergrube which was almost flat. This is one of Florians best sites if not the best. Quince mandarine zest. My son thinks vanilla and I concur it has a hint of it. But the essence is really orange blossoms yes they are just now blooming in our garden that's it! Beautifully slight bitter tinge one of the best whites i had this year. — 9 years ago
