Slow smooth attack. A cat burglar approach. Wide and weighty. Underage. Undertones of caramelized crust. Twisty finish leaves the richness behind for a surf. — 9 years ago
Day 2: black cherry cola and musty, slightly richer than on first pour. Fresh, red fruit, with firm acidity, and gentle old world undertones. Lacks overwhelming depth, but still comes across as a "good" Pinot. — 10 years ago
Yep. That's awesome. — 10 years ago

2007: The nose doesn't prepare you for the lovely cotton candy sweetness on the palate. A very pleasant wine with medium weight and a nice uplift of sweetness toward end, yet with a good acidic cut to keep things in check. Would like to have again. — 10 years ago
Trop bon ! Feels quite rich. Super long finish..... Gone — 10 years ago
Very thin and light bodied. Paired well with food more so than on its own. — 5 years ago
Les Murgers abuts the Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Vineyard of Champ Gain. Wow, this is a bargain! Elegant nose of ripe stone fruits, citrus and bits of vanilla and biscuit. On the palate ripe apple, peach and pear with lemon zest and some sweetness. Lingering, rich ending with an underlying mineral character. — 6 years ago
Low yields in Northern Rhône 2013, but the quality of the fruit is prevalent here. Structured and well-integrated fine grained tannins at the five year mark. The nose explodes out of the glass with finesse and doused complexities. Definitive Syrah nuances of black raspberries, black plums, black olives, fresh cut violets, cracked black pepper, Indian spices, grilled and smoked meats, and stone dust. Light weight but packs a continuous release of flavors. Nose and palate changes from fruit to floral to spicy to meaty. As you move to different areas and rooms the wine changes. The more air it gets, the more meat starts hanging out. Complex indeed for a $20 bottle. Great showing. — 7 years ago
Lots of richness and structure... dark fruit, some dark spices, and a smooth finish — 8 years ago
A pretty nose with some petrol notes. The tannins are still quite firm and there is plenty of black and red fruit. Med to med + length and med + complexity. A very nice #chambollemusigny #burgundy #pinotnoir #maisonrochedebellene #ctbucklinwine — 9 years ago
Superb nose, with excellent balance and length this Clos De La Roche from a not so D'Amour vintage knocked it out of the park! Drank straight from the bottle and would recommend you do likewise to preserve the aromatics — 9 years ago
Crisp and clean, with lots of pear and apple flavor. No butter or oak. Great for $13. — 9 years ago
