Hugo loved this at the beach over one ice cube. Perfect refreshing summer wine β 4 years ago

Super structured, elegant, herby big red. Definitely needed decanting, but we were so eager that it all got drained in one night! β 6 years ago
Easy, fragrant, great value β 7 years ago
Costco cheap very good deal β 8 years ago
Light, crisp and refreshing with a small amount of effervescence. Drink cold. The effervescence disappears the warmer the wine gets. β 10 months ago

Nice aroma, good complexity, Torriga national balanced oak. Cedar, tobacco and touch of spice. Very nice. β 4 years ago
Tasted blind, from magnum. Old dark ruby color. Amber rims. Notes of black cherry, spice, earth and something like pencil lead. Ok in the mouth, refined, but lacking energy. With the meal this was enjoyable but was somewhat sleepy all night. Likely at peak and given the magnum format, it's time to drink up 750s. Guessed 62 Latour. β 6 years ago

Really excellent. Intense yet smooth, the age shows but only in a refined way. Finish goes on forever. Like really good old Bordeaux. β 8 years ago
Obrigado to JoΕe! Keeping up with the tradition of keeping Douro wines affordable and superior quality. β 9 years ago
2001 Corison Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Awesome wine 9.6... but I like it better from magnum 10.0! Drinking and watching my Duke Blue Devils. Who gets the 2001 significance? β 9 years ago
2016 vintage. Dirk Niepoort's answer to Burgundy and it actually has a Pinot Noir like colour and mouthfeel. This is a very unusual Douro from very old vines. Delicate nose with sour cherries , pomegranate and flowers. It is all about finesse and subtlety. Very long. Delicious and expensive (80 euros), but if you see the prices of Portuguese high end wines these days it almost seems a bargain. β a year ago
Had the 2005 at appetite for Kenleeβs bday; fruity + leather + chocolate + oak. β 3 years ago
Very well balanced, not too sweet, not too alcoholic, and really lets the red wine and tannins shine through. β 5 years ago
Quite lovely on our first night in Portugal for the wifeβs birthday! Scored 2 points higher due to the sleeping gentleman in the picture :) #firstfamilyvacation β 6 years ago
Rich, complex drinking. β 6 years ago
I must admit it has been a while since I had a bottle of Pierre Peters that was as impressive as my first, but this example in magnum format hit the spot.
Tiny beads that feel like mousse. A nose of apples and pears with a slight hint of pineapple crisp and gorgeous mouth feel with some minerality to complement and a crisp, clean finish. Excellent. β 7 years ago
Light, fruity, refreshing. β 8 years ago
